I'm not trying to start a bashing war here, so lets not go there. I'm a die hard Polaris guy and am looking at sleds for the wife and kids - kids being 3 and riding along with mom and dad for some time. Sno-Coach is out as the kids already don't like being in one. They want to ride with mom and dad lol.
Long story short, I went to a dealer the other day and have been looking on-line for options. My opinions....Polaris has really gotten out of the two-up market. The 550 LXT 144 Indy seems underpowered and lacks a lot of the creature comforts of the old IX LXT two ups. Also, IMO, the Indy Adventure rear seat seemed uncomfortable, for lack of a better term. Also would it be underpowered with a fanner and the 155 or 155? The 600 IQ Widetrak just seemed like a tank.
Also tried out some Doo's. I was impressed with the +1 seat design for a passenger and that system could be placed on any Doo.
So, I guess my question is, what to do with the kids as they get older. Would a Seat Jack work on an Indy? I was told that due to patent issues, Polaris can't do a +1 seat. Can you somehow bolt a two up seat on the longer tunnels like on 90's era Indy's?
Thanks.
