A friend of mine is trying to remember the name of a business (may be closed now) that is located in the Wakefeild area. Back in the late 90's he stayed at an old logging camp brothel that had been converted into a bar and hotel. He said it was ran by an old woman and was a great place to stay. Any help with this would be appreciated.

That would not be in the Wakefield area from what I know of the region. Bingo's Motel used to have a logging camp across the road. That motel/bar is still open, but the old woman has passed. It never was a brothel. Bergland has one that used to be a brothel, but it is closed now.

Do you remember the name of the Bergland business? My buddy said it was and old two story building with a big grand staircase in the middle. He looked at the pictures of Bingo's and that is not the place.

Closed for a few years now. They had the cheapest drinks in town by far.

Tom in fact, does own the old Sully's. A couple buddies and I stayed there in 198...something. Rooms upstairs with a common bath/shower down the hall. I bought the pool table out of there after Tom acquired it and he gave my wife and I a tour of the place. Just as I remember...except for the disrepair. A lot of cool salvageable millwork in there if someone was into that sorta thing.

Wow Sully's, when was it last open? The last time I was in there was '95 and it seemed old back then. I remember because it was the first year for the Michigan trail passes and Barney Fife was making the rounds, brushing off snow to check for stickers.

The last time we stopped there the locals that were in there were worried about their water lines freezing due to the lack of snow cover.......
