Looking For Weekday Vilas Based Riding Bud

Lost my regular weekday riding bud to a day job so looking for a new riding bud. I’m based from Phelps but will ride anywhere in Vilas including 3 lakes but prefer the UP up to Greenland east to Republic and south to Iron River, MI. I prefer twistys and FRs try to keep grades as connectors but will ride them if necessary but kinda boring. I know the trails and FRs so bud just needs to be able ride some miles,enjoy a good sit down lunch and haul balls home. Usually start at 9am from mutual meeting place be back at home by 5:30 pm. I have made some super friends here on JD still riding with some of them for more than 10 years. Please PM me if interested in weekday riding.

Will ride with you anytime next winter (2019 done working). Nothing over 150-160/day for me though. Northern Vilas / UP works for me.
Need to start branching out, with low snow in south central Vilas last few years. I'm sure you'll find someone to bridge the gap.

Does this count if I just take a week off of work to ride? Lucky guys and your locations.... What you describe is just what I enjoy WD!! All my riding buds, for the most part, are at the stage of life with kids and activities. I only ride during the week. Come up sunday go home thurs or fri.

Hi Slim,
We met you once at Pat’s when you were picking up your sled and we discussed your torture at the hands of Nick Keller that ride was some crazy ****e! Lol. Sure we can ride if you are based somewhere around Phelps. Greenland is our outer limits for a day ride including the 13 loop then 109 back to Sidnaw is 1 of my favs. Several ways back to Phelps either 107 or 15 is wonderful but very demanding on 15 then FRS back to Phelps avoids Watersmeet and Lando cuts all that down to only 18 miles and zero traffic from 2. cirrus is not retiring until 2019/2020 season so he may give it a try sometime this year too Replacing venturenorth will probably be a bunch of guys that can catch as catch can.PM me and I’ll give you contact details. :)

Yes Ken has 2 jobs now. One 5 days a week the other on weekends. He will be very limited in ride time mostly Holidays. How is your trailer doing? Probably best for you to trailer to my house when riding the UP or Forest county trail. Welcome and looking forward to seeing you :)

Looks like you've got some good volunteers. I stay at the Gateway in Lando a lot of the winter and only ride on weekdays, quite a few by myself. I'll give you a PM some time when I'm heading up.

I hope so Bob. I used to stay at the Gateway before I moved to Phelps know it well great location. I’ll PM you later. The more the merrier it’s a long winter :)

Darren we started our friendship 10 years and 1 wife ago for you lol! JD has given me both you and Ken pretty neat huh? Known you the longest always have time for you Cass and C. Told you move up here and my bud problem is solved! :)

I'm in Presque Isle but not full time. Pretty much depends on snow and if I have someone to ride with. Next time I'm up I'll contact you. I usually ride north in to the UP and generally stay on the forest roads if possible. Seems like I always end up at Roger's Bar for some reason..........

I like Rogers too really nice little place always seems to be people there any season. Wife and I were there for tacos recently. Check your PMs.

Pete, I need two years then I am in. This season and next then I'll be stationed across the lake from you with the same intentions.
I never been to Rogers Bar but we nearly bought a lake lot on Beatons Lake instead of Spectacle. Glad to be where we are!
