Lost

I can't believe it hasn't been brought up yet.

Who else has followed this "thing"?

From day one, I told my wife they were all dead. I thought the series would be just a prelude to their demise. Obviously, that wasn't the case but, perhaps it was. What a great show.

I don't watch alot of TV "shows" (unless it's Sportscenter or Discovery Channel stuff. I did like The Osbornes's though. :) ) but this show grabbed me right away.

I'm glad it's over and I thought they did a pretty good job with the ending. Certainly better than The Sopranos' IMO

What does everybody else think?

Come on! Admit it! You were into it!

It's Summer We've got nothing else to talk about.....................

My wife and I aren't big Tv people, but we both loved that show. And I did like the ending. Definitely something to keep thinking about. Part of me of course wanted them to answer all the questions, but if it was a scooby-doo ending, that would have been kind of lame...

Love the show but missed the ending Sunday because I was on 2nd shift. My mom tried to record it for me but the At&t cable box wasn't working so I'll have to wait to see it.
Great to have a show that makes you use your brain and not another brain numbing reality show.

LOL ....I didn't watch/surf but 1 or 2 episodes over the years , so I thought the last one would be a good one to watch,....too bad I fell asleep right after the bad guy got shot and kicked over the cliff.....so what happened after that or would I have to be a regular to understand anyway?

Happy Ending??? They are all dead! When did they die? Original plane crash? If so, why so close to Jack that he had to be there for them to "Move on"? Was the island purgatory?

Still Lost

Dave- they weren't dead the whole time. So if that is your 'I knew it'- you were wrong. They didn't die until the end. They survived the crash, everything on the island was real. As Jack's father said- it was all real. These people were the ones that mattered to you, and you to them, so you have all come together in the afterlife. And there is no 'now' here. Some died before you, some after. It doesn't mean that when Jack died on the Island, everyone else in that final scene died at the same time. You can assume that Kate & Claire got off the island on the plane and lived full lives, etc.
This article does a good job of explaining it:
http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/tv/what-happened-lost-finale-explanation.php

It's funny how many people say they knew it all along- when they got the answers at the finale, and still drew the same incorrect conclusion. I liked it. As someone said, if they explained everything- it would have been annoying. I think- just my opinion... but the other mysteries weren't the focus. It was obviously a show about life/death... good/evil.... how you can impact others.... etc At the end, that is what they chose to focus on. Not- what is the significance of the #s? What was Dharma looking for? Etc. It doesn't matter. I'm glad it's over though- I had enough of the questions and debate =)

Interesting article. Clears up a couple of things.

I did tell my wife after episode 1 that they were dead and the clincher for me thinking I was right was the last scene when Jack opened his eye, just as he did in the beginning, but then closes it. Then the next scene. Instead of him getting up to see all of the people screaming and running around, All that was shown was the plane wreckage. No people, bodies, no Jack, nothing. They did say earlier in the series that all bodies had been accounted for which, to me, means they were removed. So, I was kinda right but it obviously went alot deeper than that.

Anyways, I'm also glad it's over and I thought they did a pretty good job "finalizing" what needed to be finalized.

Great insight NIC,... and thanks for the "link",...
It really "does" sum up a lot of questions I may have had.
That explaination,... is something I thought it would be,...
and now I feel comfortable knowing that it was that way.
GREAT show.
Also glad it's over.
Also glad "24" is over,... That too, was a good show.

Now,...
Back to getting a mouthful of mosquito's!

I watched it every week with my wife.. I love the show, but it went too weird for me at the end. I still think it would have been a GREAT 3 hr feature film....

Never watched Lost, but just bought season 1-4 of Weeds off ebay so I can get ready for Season 6. Watched Season 5 last year, I think I'll buy that, too and when the tourist season in Door County slows gonna watch all 6 seasons in a marathon.

After that, I bet I'll see the Paulding Light, even though I'll be in Egg Harbor!
