3-4 inches of rain forecast this week during an already wet Fall. Brushing is going to be tough this year with the swamps full and unless we get a very dry period in November we are going to need lots of cold to set up wet areas. Here’s hoping we get dry and cold in November so think cold.

Try dealing with or being farmers for a living!! Had a couple of guys swear they will never plant soybeans again. They are good at taking on moisture and with the wind most are laying down or lodged in one direction. Corn is starting to mold on the ears. Terrible prices on the stuff to begin with. This is a tough weather pattern to say the least. Lots of complaining.... Worst of it is listening to the old boys talk about how the weather always makes the averages. Cold wet fall equals warm dry winter. Or so they say. Depressing.... I have 3 bridges on the trail that I take care of. No idea where the last one went. That has never happened. Can't even go look for it because its so wet.

Yeah, same up here south of the cities, and western Sconnie.

As for the bridges, we had one that continually washed out, until I cabled it to a tree. Lifts and floats in high water, and sets back down right where it is supposed to now.

I have a good friend at Dubuque, Ia. His daughter, and her husband farm crops, and livstock, north, and west of Dubuque. They have had close to 30" in the last 7 weeks. Just a unbelievable disaster for sure. Intolerable, adverse weather events everywhere, and all too frequent of occurrences.

Oh I had it cabled. Cable is still there. Bridge is gone... 100 year and 500 year floods every couple of years lately. This was spring this year.

Many folks down here looking into putting tracks on their combines, and tracked carts are wanted badly. Lots of $$$ for these type options, but well worth it in these kind of conditions. The very large operators are in a bind. The worst thing that can happen to the big guys, is a WET fall/harvest season. It not only affects this harvest, but will definitely affect next years crop due to the mudding this crop out It just doesn't dry out very rapidly when it gets to be this time of the year.

Gettin old for sure here in south central WI. It just keeps "training" right over us. Not only are the farmers gonna have to deal with washouts and mud around here, but there's gonna be lot of personal belongings in fields due to the floods in August. I don't see us getting our trails marked before mid December at this rate.

this has to be the most rain ina yr EVER in my area, we had countless days of over 6 inches of rain in 24 hrs, and it has rained almost ever other day since about mid May, temps swings from super hot and humid, to down right cold in 24 hrs too, over 60+ degree temp swings and then back UP to hot again and more rain
flooding has been a weekly thing in many places its just Crazy
all my TO list of things outside that need DRY weather are NOT getting done
farmers here won;'t be cutting corn till it freezes I think, as fields are just MUD and soaked, do nothing but get stuck and make a mess if they try to harvest anything here!

Good yr to be a Duck!
I am officially SICK of rain for a few months at least!
