Taking a trip next weekend around lower MI.. Going to start north of Lansing and head to Manistee for the night and then take off in the morning and head up 22, to 31 and then up 119. Once I get to Cross Village I'm going to skip over to Cheboygan and down to Millersburg to stay the night. Any places you recc to visit along the way?

Manistee to Cheboygan to far? I think the route I mapquested was 307 miles - just under 7 hours. I was thinking it might be a bit much by the time I stop and check everything out but I've never been to this area much so I wasnt sure how the travel was.

I guess if it gets to late in the day I might skip going up 119 and just head over through Indian River and over to the cabin where were going to stay in Millersburg.

That would cut off 1.5 hours and about 70 miles according to mapquest

That sounds much better. I thought You was heading up to Manistee on day one and back home the next via the route mentioned. The day goes fast when your having fun!

Great Trip

We had a great trip. Ended up with 665 miles for the weekend. We didnt leave until 5 on Friday and got rained on a few times but nothing bad. Saturday was beautiful and Sunday afternoon wasnt bad after it stopped raining. I would highly suggest route M22!!

Hey Nathan, glad you had a great ride. I take M-22 from Manistee to my cottage a couple times a year in the different seasons.

In your 2nd and 3rd pictures it looks like it close to my house in Manistee. Is that at the end of Washington St. by a water tower with a board walk going down to the beach ?

Steve- Those pics were near Arcadia. Not sure what street we turned on but it took us down by the beach.
