Maps

Does anyone know where I can get a map of the whole UP that shows in pretty good detail all the forest roads ? Learned a lot of them the past 5 years and would like to highlight them so I dont forget the ones I only go on periodically. Thanks in advance

Not sure where you are riding FRs but only ride the Frs that are not plowed. If plowed better be a marked trail or you risk getting a ticket. WI DNR sells maps of WI & UPMI showing FRs.

MI Atlas and Gazetteer was my first thought two. Those paper maps show great detail and are accurate even on private land.

obviously Whitedust , snowmobiles need snow to run on,jk.lol

Many years ago trails back to White Pine turned to crap late in the afternoon so it was very tuff going & sled trafic started to back up. One guy takes his sled on a plowed road & now you have 50 sleds taking the road playing follow the leader.lol We stuck it out on the trail & it SUCKED!! Later I found out someone called the cops about sleds riding on road & a bunch of people got tickets. Just saying know the FRs you are riding & if plowed you don't belong there unless marked as a trail.

Certain counties allow travel on the shoulder of the road, again, one has to be certain of that particular county's permitted right of way. For example, here in the Keweenaw, Houghton county permits it, however, Keweenaw county does not. Make sure before you pull the trigger.-Mezz
