March UP trip

How many of you have found good riding into the first week of March in the past, wanting to stay around the Bergland area so we can ride out to the north and east. Do the groomers still run on a regular basis? We typically make the trip the first week of Feb. but have schedule conflicts this year. I know mother nature has the final say.

I’ve ridden into April in the past.( Twins Lakes area ) as I am sure many others. 4 years ago rode from Minocqua to Houghton in the middle of March - tons of snow and perfectly groomed trails..All depends on the weather!

1st part of March is easily doable. As long as there isn't a huge warm up.

Many very good trips the 3rd week in March with my son as he was on spring break.

March is usually the best time to ride. The chit show has typically left town. They stop grooming when it gets above 32 so keep that in mind.

I love riding in March. Longer daylight and warmer temps make the riding easy.
The only caveat is that I do not count on being able to ride in March. Have seen the bank clock in South Range read over 60F quite a few times. Doesn't last too long with those temps.

I have gone the last several years the 2nd week of march and pretty much had the trails to ourselves.

Last two years stayed around Twin lakes , before that in Lando and around 2008 we rode from gogebic to copper and back.
