Marenisco to Ironwood

Is there a designated atv trail from Marenisco to Ironwood? A couple of us just completed a 6-day, 810 mile atv ride covering the majority of the western UP MI-TRALE system, including a ride from Paulding to Copper Harbor and back. The farthest west that we go is Marenisco and we are wanting to continue west to Ironwood next time. I am aware of the snowmobile trail, but want to know if this is legal for atv travel as well. Thanks.

There are no official ATV trails west of Marenisco or Bergland.

I know there have been water issues along that stretch in winter, but ATV riding can be fun with water.

Can you officially/legally travel from Marenisco to Ironwood by atv now? Rode the MI-TRALE system a week ago and colors were phenomenal, only made it as far west as Lake Gogebic along East Lakeshore though.

There is a DNR trail that goes to Wakefield now. Just stay on the IM route and head west of Marenisco, once in Wakefield you need to use county roads to go further west, Gogebic County roads are open to ORV travel
