Going up to our place in Republic MI this coming weekend and staying an extra few days for Spring Break. Wondering if anyone has any ideas what we can do for fun since no snow??? Thinking of checking out mine tours, waterfalls, anything fun for adults and kids..... Any suggestions?

Tough time of year to do much. Sugarloaf, hogsback, wetmore pond north of Marquette are good walks. Fishing in the rivers for steelhead and coho's in the mouths is good right now. Water is high right now so the waterfalls are a good bet.

Republic,,, I'd say check out the fishing on the Michigamme river.

What do you have for a vehicle?... I would say jump in the truck and go hit some backroads,,,, good time of year for sightseeing & wildlife viewing actually. Rivers are fast/high but not flooding so a lot of the waterfalls should be fairly accessible(?).
Just don't get too lost, or stuck, or something.

Oh, and remember to stay right, don't drive too fast or slow, allow faster traffic to pass(no blocking) and only pass slower traffic at the appropriate times, and use your signals!!!

Canyon Falls, Laughing Whitefish falls, Munising Falls, Munising Light House/beach. Hike the Escanaba near Gwinn. Little Presq Beach north of Marquette for hiking.

Man you're not too far from the Big Huron river near Skanee. I'd drive over there for steelhead with the kids ;)

Back on topic, There is the "Tourist Trap" in the Ispeming area, There is the Harley dealer in Marquette, casinos a plenty. Lots of Pasty stands, smoked whitefish shops, Lake Superior is enough of an atraction for me.
