Mercer to Copper Harbor

I would say a little over 200 or so. A few years ago we rode starting 30 miles west of mercer (came through mercer) up to houghton and back in a day. We rode the freda loop while we were up there and also rode the trail 13 loop back to rockland. That was a 400mi day for us. If memory serves me right, i think its around 70 miles from houghton up to copper harbor.

I love to spend the night in Copper Harbor and then hit the trails early in the morning and they are smooth as silk. We did Bergland to Copper Harbor and back in the same day about 20 years ago, back when grooming wasn't as good as it is today, and it was nothing but 2 footers most of the way home. I was never so happy to see Bergland's city lights in my life! Never again!

ditto..got up at 7am in CH, rode to Hi Rock Bay, then back down to the bridge, 1st one on a perfect groom
....then a strudel at Krupps, a burger at Henry's Rockland, and home to Sayner for dinner.....
.....sure miss those 300 mi days........

Miles are correct, but you might want to check on trail conditions. The water holes and low snow from Ironwood until Bergland will make it feel like a long trip.
This season is getting a slow start on west end of the UP. Need colder temps. Mercer area is smoother, but they do not have much snow.

Was wanting to know how many miles from Mercer to Copper Harbor.

Thanks,

I drove from Green Bay, WI to Houghton today and it is like different time zones of snow. Antigo looks good at the road, Three Lakes is shirt central, Eagle River, WI is not much better. Watersmeet is dirty snow at the roads and even Bruce's Crossing looks only ok. Find out tomorrow on North of the Houghton Bridge. Oh yeah, bumps on the trail at 3 PM near Mass City make me think traffic was as heavy today.
