MI Snowmobile Pass - I think it is a deal!

This past weekend I was in the UP for a small winter get away. We spent 3 days and two nights in a hotel, 1 day riding with my son, another skiing with my family. The plan was to ski day two, but skiing in the rain really sucks. I figure between fuel, food, lift tickets, hotel, snowmobile passes, the trip for our family had to run around $700. ~$100 of that was MI trail passes. The trails are maintained pretty darn good in my opinion, and compared to the $48 lift tickets we paid, the yearly trail pass is a bargain IMHO. I just I could get to use it more often, but with kids in winter sports, it is tough.

Yep, agree! I have heard many people, who have high dollar sleds, piss, and moan, of the cost of the trail pass/permit. Without the $$$, we don't get to ride! Good luck with that!

$48 is a bargain. I always round to $50.

When I am in different areas around the State and come upon a groomer I will always stop and give them a $20.

If I do not see a groomer I will throw a $20 in the groomer jar at a gas station or restaurant.

I completely agree! I'm very thankful (and quite surprised ) that we can ride an entire season for less than the cost of a HALF day lift ticket at a popular ski resort. Amazing to me. Thanks to all the volunteers/groomer drivers at the clubs!

Thats one thing ive never understood 48 bucks isnt really anything compared to all the money we spend. Heck you soend 100 bucks for a belt that may or may not last a season of riding. Its money well spent!!! Donating to the local clubs and groomers is something everyone should do. It doesnt take much weve been places where the groomer has stopped for a cup of coffee handed them 20 bucks and off we go. The little things go a long way.
