Mi-TRALE needs YOU at our Annual Banquet

In the past 9 years Mi-TRALE has held their Annual Banquet in October, never have we had one where we need as many people to attend as this year.

The Banquet is at Parkview Lodge and Grill on Saturday, Oct 16th. Social Hour is from 5-6 pm EST. Dinner starts at 6:00 pm EST. Dinner is only $16.71, includes tax and tip.

Reason why we need a good turnout is simple. Right now, today, as I am writing this, we are under a 30 day comment period in regards to last Octobers decision and appeal on OHV Connector Trails in the Ottawa. Last Octobers decision by the Ottawa NF was VERY POSITIVE on OHV Connector Trails, however a group and an individual appealed, and they won the appeal.

This past Friday those appeals were answered in a long, but very informative report. The report did make some changes to the 100+ miles of OHV Connector Trails that Mi-TRALE has been working on since Nov of 2005. However those changes were mandated by Houghton County Officials and a couple Private Landowners. The report on Friday was POSITIVE and we need people to SUPPORT the report.

Back to Oct. 16th. We are going to have the SUPERVISOR of the Ottawa NF and the OHV Trails Coordinator for the Michigan DNRE as special featured speakers. We are also going to have representatives of the Wisconsin ATV Association speak on connecting OHV Trails between Wisconsin and the UP. AND we're going to have Candidates running for office this November.

PLEASE, PLEASE, either plan on being at this years Mi-TRALE Banquet and if possible, help us get the word out to get as many people as possible at this important Banquet.

While I know it is not good to post my personal e-mail address, but e-mail me with your reservations. sschulz@jamadots.com

Thank-you John and thank all of you for reading this long post.

Hey! That's my birthday! Everyone have a drink for me :)

I can't be there but we all appreciate what you, and MI-Trale, do for the sport. I'm sure by posting here, you'll get some supporters to show up for the cause.

Thanks Skip!

I'll be there! Sounds like there will be a lot of good information . I took the ATV Safety course at Sheboygan Yamaha given by Randy Harden of the Wisconsin ATV Association. Sounds like a lot of other great speakers also. You also have time to finnish up on the "CP2R" award. If you enjoy riding the Mi-Trale trails, come show your support for what Mi-Trail is doing.

Folks, Hemi-Coupe is the ONLY person to EVER successfully get the CP2R Award for two straight years. This year he will get it for the 3rd Year.

If you think you ride an ATV a lot, you should try to get the CP2R award. Only 5 people have EVER gotten this award.

It requires you to RIDE hundreds of miles of the Mi-TRALE Trail System.

To be honest with you, I have never ridden all our trails with an ATV. I have if we were to allow a combination of an ATV, Ranger, and my Truck. That would be by combining the past 20 years.

To get the CP2R Award, you have to do this in ONE YEAR.

Linda and Mike at Running Bear will try for it someday, right?

Thanks Dan, Mike, and Linda for planning on being at this IMPORTANT Mi-TRALE Banquet.

Make sure you let those of us that can't make it, know what went down.
It will be interesting to know what they have to say.
Thanks.
