Mi-TRALE THANKS to all that worked on Trails

I want to thank all the people that helped on the hundreds of miles of Mi-TRALE OHV Trails this past weekend. From Houghton to Bergland, Bergland to Sidnaw, Watersmeet to Marenisco...and points in between, THANK-YOU.

From removing down trees, to brushing, to putting up STOP and STOP AHEAD Signs, to putting up Trail Signs, to taking the Confidence Markers off of trees, ALL of you did an EXCELLENT job.

This week we will finish up the IRM from Watersmeet to Iron River, along with the miles of Roads that Mi-TRALE signs as "Preferred Routes." We're also going to add the LL Trail Signs to the current BLA Trail. Eventually the BLA Trail will simply be a northern extension of the LL Trail.

Running Bear Lodge put up all the new signs for the SB "Re-route." Due to work being done on the Baltimore River Trestle, the SB Trail will be closed at the trestle. However, OHV Riders will be able to follow the HR Preferred Route to get around the Baltimore River Trestle.

I want to thank Krupp's Mini-Mart, Running Bear Lodge, Rogers Bar, Krupp's Resort and all the other business's that helped out.

I am VERY PROUD to be a part of such an EXCELLENT organization!

Also a BIG THANKS to all the years, support, and work that the Porcupine Lodge in White Pine has done for Mi-TRALE!

Just a note my son and I rode from bergland to rockland this past saturday and there was a huge tree on the Pioneer trail just outside of bergland going north. Hope you guys got that one.

Well if I had room on my dirt bike I might just do that, maybe on my sons yamaha 110 I could rig a saw blade to the back wheel somehow.

Over the 4th of July Weekend, Paul from Porcupine Mountain Lodge in White Pine mowed the entire E Trail. This really helped the club.

The P Trailhead at the Norwich is also mowed.

This week many new trail signs will go up. They will replace old and worn out trail signs, along with the trail signs that we won't say pulled out of the ground, and new signs in places where riders let us know that signs were needed.

It is the Mi-TRALE Membership money that helped us buy over $500.00 in sign posts, Over a hundred dollars in wood and paint for the signs. What many may not know is that the OHV Trail Signing program in the 5 counties that Mi-TRALE has OHV Trails, is all TOTALLY PAID for through our Membership money.

We have to buy the posts, buy the wood for the signs, buy the paint to paint the signs, and pay for the gas to go all over to put up the signs.

Not to forget that Mi-TRALE provides ATV Safety Training for children so they can be legally certified, and we do this AT NO CHARGE to the children or the parents.

Plus this summer Mi-TRALE is going to sponsor the Girls of Grit ATV Ride to raise money for a child fighting cancer. Mi-TRALE will also host the ATV and Truck XTreme Challenge to help keep the Ontonagon County Fair going.

Then we are involved in Search and Rescue, and Habitat for Humanity.

All this in addition to maintaining over 500 miles of OHV Trails in 5 counties, and working on getting hundreds of miles of MORE OHV trails. ALL of our current signed and marked trails are open to ALL OHV's, including Side by Sides. That's the way it has been since the club was formed in 2001.

You're membership in Mi-TRALE goes a long way!
