michigamme maple ridge resort in town...right on trail 8.......site on JD lodging here........ they also have a trail report

trail 8W from Ishpeming to Nestoria not too great imo ......power lines and rocky when snow is poor......

A better ride IMO would be Big Bay to L'Anse on 14W thru the Hurons.......just my .02

Eat at mt Shasta if their open . Its a old log cabin across the streey from the very west of the lake . head north and play in the huron mountais snow is 40 inchs deep up their

Ride up the peshekee grade. Some fun spots up in there when there enough snow on the road. Find your way up to trail 14. Trails loop you back to michigamme either way you go. Comes out closer to Lanse.

Don't go up the Peshekee Grade... there's nothing there... and the road is too rough.
