Michigan Pony Keg

We'll be in the Indian River area in a few weeks and thought we would try to find a pony keg of a local brew.
Any ideas of an easy drinking beer we could find? (I'd really like a New Galarus, but thats another state) I'll also be looking for a place we could call and order it.

Bell's Oberon. It is sold in mini barrels at most gas stations in Michigan. What other state sells beer, bullets and gasoline under one roof?

we do but its only 3\2 beer......kinda like eating a chicken sandwich but you wanted a burger......no bullets.....or sun...lol

Pretty much any party store can hook you up.

A lot of local brew houses are making growlers(1/2 gallon jug) nowadays. I think those are nice because then you can sample more than one of their brews.

Check out Big Buck I know one of the time in Gaylord I saw a map of micro brew houses in all of the N. Lower. I think it was in a lobby with all the fliers for area attraction. Not sure if it was at Big Buck or were we stayed (Beaver Creek Resort).

Big buck has "Party Pigs" 2.25 gallons. The "Bear Naked" is low octane 3.2%. Go with the the "Big Buck with mucher higher octane. Heck I would be totally happy with a 1/4 barrel of Amber Bock.

Hmmmm Amber Bock.......

Another crappy idea from MN, 3.2 beer so they don't have to open Liquor stores on Sunday.

a bit off topic, but:

There used to be a gas station in Coleman, Wisconsin few years back, that had a tapper at the bar, and ammo on the shelf behind the bar. Can't imagine the liability insurance cost for that place

Pick up some Keweenaw Brewing, Pick Axe Blonde or Widowmaker. Maybe they do growlers of others too. Good suds!!!

Dublin store in Dublin MI. has it all. Liquor, beer, guns, ammo, gas, lotto, condoms, even birth control pills. And don't forget the jerky in 100 different varieties and flavors.
