I'm getting phone calls asking about about snow storm here on Saturday. JD has good graphic but who knows final track on Saturady? If we do get 6" trails
will be rideable even if wet about 4" in Phelps now. Trails were closed Friday but sleds were out in ditches & fields today. Things should get very interesting Saturday also should
get Watermeets going too. Stay off Vilas lakes very slushy right now.

Let's hope it comes through and is widespread!

Be interesting, heard 5-8" to as much as 6-12". Latest I heard was tracking west. Whatever as long as it's not rain!!

slushy lakes?! I'm 50 miles east of you and have open water!

Even North Twin closed up, I have about 5 inches of ice, Ken has 8 inches, the slush set up but I don't trust it. I don't know why but Spread Eagle is always warmer & gets less snow but you already know that.lol Whatever we get like eagle said a heck of a lot better than rain. Forecast amounts are all over the place but it is Xmas and difficult to get any forecast on the tube. Best I can tell it will snow a good long time very typical of our storms.

The cold temps usually make it over our way, but we are always in the "dry slot" as some weather people call it...:( our lake started to get a crust on Dec 18, but a few days ago with the 40's and rain it disappeared. As of this morning my bay has the crust again but the main lake is open. With temps staying at or below freezing for what looks like weeks it won't be long before it ices over.

Silver Lake in ER is 1/3 open water yet. Last check West Bay of little St German was wide open, and I heard white caps on Big St. Even if land trails would open will be awhile before lakes get marked.

We have about 4" already of very light fluffy snow. I wish it had more moisture in it, but snow is snow and we can't complain!!

NOAA graph forecast for TwinLakes Mi still at 12" over next few days. Conover WI not looking as good as earlier forecast. Just too warm out there. Bummer!

The NWS blew it yet AGAIN for the Rice Lake, WI area. Was supposed to get 3-5" and we have ZIP!

Hope everybody else get's what they need and deserve! LOL!

Look at John's forecast. You guys are not supposed to get much until tomorrow. The big part of the storm is still southwest of you.

Should have been snowing all day today with the totals ending 7 am tomorrow. I wouldn't even call the few flakes today a dusting. So much for the 4"-8" they originally said. ( not just John BTW all sources said 4-8 then 3-5 then 1-3. ) Now they say the next big one is going to hit Monday night? Maybe the only good thing to come out of this is colder Temps relatively speaking might put some ice down before the snow hits. West Bay of little St was still open today.
