Looking for opinions--Do you feel that the trails in Minocqua will be rideable for this last weekend of the season?...

Ask on Friday? Going to be very hard to judge this early in the week, no new snow, temps maybe 40 by the end of the week, amount of sun the next 5 days, amount of traffic this week? Going to be a hard one to call before last minute.

I was in St. Germain this past weekend, came home today 3-25......trails the best i've ever seen them this late in season............. no issues at all...I mean NONE.......riding was awesome........heading back Thursday-Sunday......I have not a worry about riding.

Was in Minocqua Friday & Saturday 3/22 - 23 and trails were GREAT. Rode Minocqua, Tomahawk, Willow Flowage area on Friday and trails were the best I can remember and very few riders - even met 2 groomers in the evening. Saturday rode St. Germain & Eagle River and trails were great. Late afternoon they were a bit rougher, but still OK. This weekend will depend on how warm it gets this week and if they get the rain in the forecast. With forecast of temps in the low 40's and chance of rain, not worth the trip for me.

Right around 40 today and lots of afternoon sun, took a toll on trails in town. I am sure there will be plenty in the woods but trails in town and road crossings burnt down pretty good today. Two more days of warming and sun will make certain areas bad this weekend.

Well, I pulled the plug. Talked to my contact and all trails on roads or along side are bare. Good in the woods, But talking a 50% chance of rain on Saturday. Time to stick a fork in the year. Will try for one last Copper Harbor run next weekend.. If the temp stay cold..

HAPPY EASTER!!! WE WAIT......

With trails closing Sunday night is there any word on extending the season? One more run north sounds great if they keep them open for us.

wi does not stay open past the 31st regardless of snow condi

For the most part that is true, but there is nothing saying from the state that you can't stay open longer, it depends on the county. And most counties, if not all, will be closed.
