just wondering has anyone stayed in mio michigan before? would like to know about hotels and the trails during the week. looking to go there this winter. looks like a lot of trails around there.

I have a place between Rosecity and Mio and ride the trails all the time in the area, Yes the trails alot of times are tight and twisty, but we've been riding the area for 25 yrs and we know alot of back country and unplowed roads to ride, when the snow is good we always have a good time, You have to go to Ma Deeters in Luzerne for their pizza, really good. I have a cabin just north of mio, we ride mostly norh of town between mio and Lewiston. The trails are nice, but can get rough very quick, there are tons of traffic if there is any snow at all. Takes us about an hour to ride the loop to lewiston and back to mio, the Talley burger in Lewiston is great along with the knot hole burger in commins. When the trails are bad we just hit the logging roads and dirt bike trails, they are everywhere and you can easily ride for days just on them. There is a newer hotel right out of town, believe it has a hot tub. It doesn't have the best access to the trails, however it isn't terrible. Takes a few miles to get out of town on some back roads, the ditches are huge along M33 so you don't have to ride on the roads to get out of town.

well i hope we have the snow this year. i never ride on the weekends anymore. now its just during the week so i hope they are not bad. thanks for the help and info.
