Mission helmet fogging up .

I am actually surprised more haven't chimed in on this, when I was considering buying a new helmet after admiring the Oxy on our trip, I also considered all the hype of the Mission helmet and admit in the end I never tried one on or looked at it. I did however read up on it and although I for one feel a heated shield a must especially on bitter cold days especially without any sun and same goes for evenings because that's when you find the fog or frost starts to creep in from the outer edges of the shield, and in their specs it said "reduces fogging" if I remember correctly, not prevents and I know there are helmets out there that work without heated shields and people who have luck without them as well but IMO.... no matter what the helmet claims, Id rather have the heated shield....as long as its working LOL

Yep in the end same way I felt too bought the O2. Mission Nose piece didn’t seem all that different from Exome and Modular which I wanted to get away from.

Agree. So glad I don’t have the snorkel up on my face, the diaper, and vents freezing up in sub zero temps!

Anyone else have issues with theirs fogging up? Happened one evening after dark coming home. No heated shield..
Fitment of the breath deflector is critical. They are adjustable and come in 3 different sizes to accommodate different faces. Be sure the deflector fits as described in the directions.

I have a doo modular 3. That rubber thing that goes on yer face I through in the garbage. I have a electric shield but dont need it most times. I can wear glasses with it most times. I drive with the front vent open and the lid closed.

I use the electric shield with my Mission and find no need to use the breath deflector. I carry it on my sled in case of a mishap with the shield, but all has been good for 3 seasons riding this way. If you are using the non-heated shield cooksend is correct on proper fitment with the correct deflector. We have a couple younger guys in our group that like to wear the dark non heated shield using the deflector without issue and one buddy that uses the deflector with the electric shield because he wears glasses. In total 5 missions in our group being used in every combination possible and they have performed as advertised with no fogging.
