Modular Helmet

o.k. everyone, want to update my HJC electric shield set-up to a modular. Would love to ditch the tether but still want fog free, warm and comfortable. What do you have that fits the bill?

I have the ski doo modular 2....have used it for 2 seasons now...it's been a great helmet...never once has fogged up on me and keeps my head nice and warm...at the time I bought mine they were a bit pricey...but it was money well spent...

ski doo BVs 2 best helmet I have ever had,wear glasses and never had a fog problem.and never had a need to add a heated sheild.they run on the small side so try them on at a dealer and look on ebay for the best deal.Or Hay Days

I had a HJC and switched to the Ski Doo modular helmet and heva enever looked back. This helmet has never fogged up and I don't run a heated shield either. Money well spent, also I do agree that they run small so go 1 size up.

Modular 2 is great for me so far. Go at least one size up. I normally wear an xl so I bought a 2x. I think I may give that to my fiance and get a 3x. $150 at Novi snow show. Cheapest I've seen them.

have the mod 2 in a 3x and would love to find a motocross helmet that works for me. I am getting sick of the winded feeling from the face mask to keep away the fog. I like the helmet but I get sick of the snorkel that fits on my face....

I tried on skidoos modulars, but they just feel to heavy.
Bought a CKX at snowshow last year and loved it. Worked really well. Also have a older Polaris modular that worked good just don't wear it because colors don't match my sled anymore.

I have had a skidoo mod for 5-6 years never had a problem, never foged up, would never go back to any other helmets.
With that said I droped it 2 years ago was going to get a mod 2 at haydays last year but decided to give it one more year.
One more thing I'll be looking for at haydays this year, there were great deals on them last year.
Was reading a artical in latest SnowGoers on the Nolan n-103, good report, has anybody use this helmet.

Ive always had HJC helmets and liked them. I tried a Ski Doo mod helmet a few years back. It gave me really bad headaches and I was always cold, (got a little frost bit even). Sold it, and all the accessories for half what I payed for it new, at a swap meet. Bought a G Max mod last year, so far I like it.

Bought a mod II with elect. shield last year and I second guessed the elect. shield part until till the freezing rain ride then a second time there was a mist that started Icing over both times just plugged in and never second guessed again. Nothing sux worse than having to ride shield up or stopping repeatedly to swap out iced over goggles...
