I have a Lowrance XOG. I bought the handlebar mounts and the hardwire kit on Ebay. This unit is used year round in my truck for work, on my sled with preloaded trails and on my bike. It could be used on my boat but I already hazve 2 gps units on that. The XOG works great for me. Only problem is the unit has been discountinued. Watch ebay for them.

There are a number of mounting options out there one is Ram Mounts But they are pricey. I found this Handlebar Mount that I'm going to give a try this winter on my sled. Only thing that worries me it its the standard ball joint connection to the mount, So I going to make a safety tether just encase.

I currently use a map bag that mounts to my handle bars, I have not had any problems except that it is tight getting the cord in the bag too.

Mine looks allot like this but only cost $7.00 Here is a picture of mine, I only bought the top map bag portion. A local dealer said they could order the parts of the bag as replacement parts, and the map portion was only $7.00.

Do a google search for "gps tank bag" if you like this style. There is alot out there. Be creative!

Good luck!
