What have ya'all used for mounting your phone to your sled so you can use the Polaris Trail App? I am currently using a GPS in a waterproof case but find it is not up to date, and is more cumbersome than I would like. I was thinking I should just use my phone - already have a waterproof case (lifetime), can use a normal 12 volt charger and has a great screen.
I was thinking of picking up a RAM mount like this, but how would this hold up to rough trails or boondocking? I have used many RAM mounts in the past, and have been real happy, unless we are talking about really heaving electronics like 12" fish finders (Lowrance HDS-12). Would be a little worried about it popping out.
