Has anyone done any off trail riding in the Munising Area. We are thinking about heading up there for 4-5 days at some point.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Plenty of off trail in that area. Just make sure your not on private property. Not to far is the kingston plaines some nice riding in there.

The Hiawatha national forest is fair game and there is plenty of it.

Snocrazy,

Would you be interested in meeting up sometime in the forest? I'm getting a cabin built on the west (paved) portion of 440. I plan to go there several times this year and perhaps more next year. It would be nice to ride with someone that's familiar with the area. Such as some of that off trail riding that you're referring to.

When we get hammered with snow, I usually wind up with 10 friends staying at my house. I am down your way quite often to do breakfast at the midway and chat with folks. Also stop at Camel Riders for some good grub from time to time.
Let me know when you will be up here and we can meet up. The last time I met up with some and they joined our group the 2 guys were pissed off complaining about the madness I took them in to. Spent more time digging out than any thing. Just fair warning. :)
