Can anyone recommend some other trails or routes up towards Grand Marais by ATV/UTV without taking trail 8 the whole way? I dont mind it in the winter...even when its rough there is a likely hood to hit a groomer eventually. We took this on the ATV's at beginning of summer and we had enough of the whoops after a short while. We rerouted and headed south instead. Would like to take the gang back up there, but they'll kill me if I put them back on that trail. Any other "secret" ways around a good portion of it? And before you yell at me, no I'm not looking to trespass, I'm not looking to cause issues and feel entitled to do whatever the heck I want. Just want a smoother legal route if there is one that just might not have landed on the map.
