A bitter sweet weekend for me, as I lost my hunting buddy Emma on Sat morning. On Sunday, my daughter and I went to pick up a new pup and here she is. Woodcrest Lucyanna Jaycee's Queen of Narnia. We call her Lucy. With any luck, she'll be as good as Emma was. I must not be over Emma yet, as I called her Emma two times today... ugh.

Sympathy & Congrats

My sympathy for your loss of Emma. The bond with a good dog is special, and as lvr said it will take time. Just this morning my wife called our current dog by the name of our old dog, who we lost four years ago.

Congrats on the new pup, I lost my field buddy Chase a little over a year ago, we got a new pup in March & call him Chase quite often. Good looking pup
