my new plow truck

new to me that is,,,86 dodge w250. man this rig is heavy duty. 360 4 barrel, 4500 lb front axle. She barely budges raising the plow. I bought it off craigslist not far from home. Was bought by a township and was used by them for 97 of the 98k miles it has. Frame is straight and clean. The township had kept the window sticker, bill of sale and all maintenance records. This truck had 5 oil changes within 8000 miles, lube jobs also. At 96k it got a new trans. Everything works well. They removed the box and added a water tank and pump for brush fires along with light rack and plow. Sus is still tight and rides like a lumber wagon but no clunks, steers straight as an arrow. I've got $1650 into the truck and plow.

I am looking for some tires if anyone has some decent used 16's. Actually I need only 2 for the rear but would do four if the price is right. I found a box at the bone yard in Houghton and he wants $150, it's straight but rusted through over the wheel wells but so it the truck on the rockers, may look appropriate as far as condition, comes with good tailgate and tail lights.

Nice truck!!

We just put the plow on our Suburban that we picked up last Spring. Paid $1850 for it. 3/4 ton with a 6.5 diesel, it should be able to push some snow!

I called the bone yard and they are pulling a box off a 88 for me. I may need this to haul a few things and an actual box will work better for me.
