Anyone tell me a fair price for an 2007 800 XRS with low miles on it ? It's got a pipe & a 1.75 lug track on it maybe some extras. i know the mods don't matter but the ski has 500-600 miles on it. Very Good condition. I need some input from some a few Ski Doo fans if possible. I'm not brand loyal, ( anymore ) but this 1.... I could use some help with, it's 4 yrs old.

Careful, some of the motors and cranks were bad in and around that year. If it's the 800R, I think that's the one that needed the recalls done. If it's the 800HO, that's a rockin' motor. Had a buddy with a 2007 XRS 800HO, that thing did wheelies all day long. Price? Hmmmm, I'd say a good deal is $5,000. It probably was $11,000 brand new. They were snow check only (XRS). KBB says $6,000 retail. That's the MX Z XRS. If it's a Summitt, it's a little less.

Good luck.

Thanks, that's the kind of info I was looking for. It's the HO. That sled and the Polaris 600RR are about the closest sleds from the manu's that I have seen to the real race sleds. ( IMO )

You won't like a 600RR. VERY stiff, small tank, anyone I've talked to said they are just not that good on the trail. It's really for banging and racing. The XRS is much better and the motor is better.

We have 1, put 7500 on it. Cold for long trail rides. Had to modify it for trail & carry gas in a RMK rack specially mounted over the rear heat exchanger, bought a switchback seat and put that on there the stock seat was too hard, and installed dual hand warmers, Hot grips & cartridge heaters in the bars. The bar & riser worked as a heat sink pulling the heat out.. I was pretty busy back in 08 modding it. Thought it was 1 of the best sleds we bought straight from from the manu for sticking it. It rode on rails right out of the box. We choked up on the limiter, to take some weight off the ski's and have the clickers as soft as they will go. Last year we burned it down, twisted the crank out of phase & the oil pump bearing went bad .... ( oh brother ) not to mention replacing the 2 ply ripsaw.....................................
Expensive year, Now all I have to do is talk my buddy out of the XRS. I know that thing sticks it in the corners. He hasn't e-mailed me back , probably thinks I low balled him ????

Bud had a Doo 600XRS & was an icecube on the grades then he bought a 2008 XP 800r MXZX. Doo 600XRS was a super twisty sled & shocks rock hard. Still has XP but misses 600XRS handling. XRS is a race sled made for trail but you need to be a very very hard rider to enjoy. Not for the meek. So know who you are before you buy.

=:)
I looked @ all the NEW sleds and nothing excites me this year except the sub-lime green F8 sno-pro ltd. Didn't care for my XP handling either when I got it and had to modify the crap out of it ,added the good shocks, spindles, a-arms, 125# springs, for the 47" ski stance ect....to get it to stick in the corners. The shorty's had a out of control inside ski lift thing going on.This isn't doo talk so I can make that statement without being jumped on by internet tough guys. Nothing like getting all excited about snowmobiling in August.........
