Hey, we're talking about a snowmobiling trip in February somewhere east of Marquette, like Munising or Newberry. Looking for a cabin for 6 guys near trails, gas, food, etc. And trail recommendations . We mostly stay on trails or fire roads. Good riders with good equip. 150-2 00 miles/day x 3 days. Coming from Twin Cities area. See you at Haydays! Thanks

X 2!!!!!!!! Very good people, highly recommend!!! Years back when the trails sucked due to the areas lack of, no grooming, they let us out of our reservations after a half day of POS, hellish trails. Felt bad for them having such poor trail conditions to deal with, and trying to make a living as operating a motel. Go SORVA!!!

The Buckhorn should work as they have cabins and motel style rooms plus this is where all the sledders end up to eat/drink anyway. They have gas, bar, restaurant and are on a main trail right off the railroad grade.
No in town riding either if snow is low or temps are a bit warm.

One piece of advice; GO MID-WEEK! Munising is awesome to ride (make a run to Paradise, MI and back in one day, sweet) but weekends will absolutely ruin your trip, there is no grooming equipment or men that can keep control of that grade on the weekend as it is a SUPER-HIGHWAY.

If Y'all are rowdy, please remember no swearing at the Buckhorn. I went a few years ago with my best friend (nice guy but loves to use the F-bomb as an adjective) and he was warned within 1 minute of arrival. It was a short lunch as I wanted to get out without being asked to leave.

The food at the brewery at Taquamanon falls is top notch - steaks and stuff. Whatever time of day you get there make it your main meal of the day. It can get crowded. If there are a lot of sleds be sure to check in before you head over to view the falls.

I see you are coming from IL so if you are traveling North thru MI not WI you reach Newberry area faster than Munising Area so try Halfway lake resort. Great people gas and food close by including the Pine Stump which is a big sled stop and always good snow and less crowded that Wetmore area with Plenty of off trail play and closer to falls and great ride up to Paradise or Whitefish Point. Book Early this is a great place and the cabins go quick.

Try the Wilson street Retreat in Grand Marais,Mi .Log home sleeps 8 right in town and less than 1/4 mile from the trails. You can find them on VRBO and AIRB&B. Always great snow and groomed trails. Grand Marais often times has snow when other areas do not. Fantastic riding East toward Paradise, West toward Marquette and South toward Seney & Curtis.
