New Ski-doo 800 E-tec one bad S.O.B

Just about every video I watch with the new 800 E-tec has the front end standing up forever with all the power. This is a race against a Yamaha Apex that has a good race record on lakes and the E-tec smokes it. Even if it didn't smoke the other sled it sounds sweet at top speed. Out of the box its rated at 162 HP and I know a guy that is getting ready to put a 2011 on the dyno for some testing to see what she actually will put out. CAN'T WAIT FOR MY NEW SNOW CHECKED SUMMIT WITH THE 800 E-TEC, YIPPEY, LA-LA-LA-LA-LA,HE,HE,HA,HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Yami was not set up for dragging. On the last video the 'Doo was transferring perfectly and the front end of the Yami never came up at all. Not to say the 'Doo isn't impressive because it is. It weighs at least 150 lbs less than the Yami. Real life races this coming winter will be much closer though. Not much longer to wait now.

Chris...who set you up on that sweet ride...anyway, looking forward to a full season of riding, have my 2011 in route as well (Backcountry X 800 E-Tec), taking delivery over in Bergland at my new dealer Timberline (read between the lines). Contact me when your up, we will have to go for a ride.

Whats up Marty? Ya, you set me up with an awesome deal on my Freeride. Damn sure missin' ya over at Keweenaw Motorsports or whatever the new name is (probably be the last sled I get thru them since your gone). I was up there a few weeks ago doin a trail cleanup out of Krupps and stopped in to see the boys at the shop. Saw your son (Marty jr.) and Todd Royce, actually Todd put my renegade back together for me (and did a great job). I was hoping to get out with you on the ATV's that weekend but a bunch of us got out Sunday and I swamped mine and had to be towed out of the woods so it was time to go home, bummer. Todd gave me your home number so when I make it up to the Keweenaw this winter we gotta get together and ride. Dude I need you back at the shop, the new owners can't even give me an answer of when to expect my new "Freeride", they should have an idea of arrival time, right?

Generally speaking they should be able to get you an estimated ship date but that would require...effort and a commitment to service.

Would have loved to make it out with you, especially in light of the swamping, Jr called and told me you were in town but I was sick at the time so not up for an outing. Will hold you to that ride this winter, hopefully after an epic dump when my Backcountry will leave me wanting for more length.

Dealer told me that mine would be arriving in Late November or early December. 2011 Renegade X 800 E-tec black/black

Having hard time waiting that long though and hopefully it is sooner.

my buddy has the 600 etek on his Everest? and I tell you what, that motor rips better than anything I ever ridden. Now, how much more will the 800 rip, I can only imagine. The day I rode his sled I also rode a rmk and a crossfire. No doubt the crossfire and rmk carve significantly better, even with the sway bar disconnected. Since I have become a carvin fool, I don't believe I could deal with it with good comfort for day after day of livin in da up. It seems the weight is very low on the doo and requires more body english to maneuver. Has anything improved on the 2011 doo's. The doo's motors are so impressive I kinda want one but still more so desiring a M. The handling on the trail with the doo and etek motor was the best power and handling I ever experienced, even with it being a longer 146

Just spoke with a ski-doo rep at the milwaukee snow show and he looked up my order on his laptop and got me a ship date for my new freeride. Sled is shipping the week of Oct. 24-30 and should be at my dealer first or second week of november. Finally an answer... wow i can't wait!!!!!

Nice! Did you ask him why they didn't even have any summits at the show?
