New sled

The new sled made it home finally today. Spent some time in the shop bonding with it. Added a B&M front bumper, a skid plate, Rox hand guards, and a windshield bag. Looking forward to getting more than a few laps around the house on it. 45E4859D-E0E8-4899-88FD-6A4CC503B386.jpg B261C0BB-1713-4991-8B96-132D0B70A6A4.jpg 26225683-01E8-4793-86E5-8D35FE8A0BE9.jpg

Congrats elf! Nice looking sled! Should be a great sled for you up there on the north shore. Did your son's sled come in yet?

my son picked up a 2020 in early September. He went a bit bigger with a 850 SKS 155”. I tell him it’s because he can’t ride.

looks nice! but...question I don't really keep up on new products and maybe they have been out there for years and I just never noticed, what are those scalloped edges on ski's for? looks? tie downs? functionality? just curious

nice bumper, could get away with out the skid plate?

My last sled had the same style front bumper but no skid plate and I hit something at one point that punched several holes in the bottom of my sled. Repair estimate was over $3000. I just put some gorilla tape on them and sold it to my brother. And yes, he knew about them.

hey elf could you take some more pics of that plywood chair in photo 1. that thing is sweet.

If you're serious, sure. That was thrown together one afternoon when my daughter was about 10 and wanted to build a chair with me. I started making these grand plans and she stopped me and said no, make it like this.

Its not just a Polaris thing . Cat uses them too but only on crossover&mountain sleds as far as i know. They come in handy after getting stuck or when you need to plant that ski so you dont get stuck on goofy angles/hills ,keeps you from falling on your rear cause thats where youll be if you dont have them grips and try doing that in the snow. Ive had them on last couple High Countrys and were glad they were there.
