Looking for a place to stay in the UP north of Hancock for 3 nights starting on 12/31. There will two adults and two children. Must be close to trail.

Who have you already called? Let us know who's already full and you'll probably get some additional ideas.

Have called most like ds base camp, krupps,wildlife refuge. So I decided to start looking further north. Any help would be great.

If you're going N of Hancock have you tried the Ramada in Hancock, or the American Inn, Centennial Cottages and Trailside all in/around Calumet, then the Ahmeek Streetcar in Ahmeek, or the White House Motel in Mohawk. Every one of them is close to the trail and are decent places to stay. They are all in the Northwoods Directory at the left of the screen. If you're looking for a larger place the Centennial Cottages or Street Car would be good, Trailside has a larger unit too, and American and Ramada would be typical hotels with 2 queens or doubles, but with pools or hot tubs. White House is more down home, but a nice place with beds for 4 and a great breakfast place next door.
