Next Level Riding Clinic- Awesome!

I just returned from Dan Adam's next level riding clinic this past weekend. It was an absolutely ridiculous adventure! Loved every second of it. I highly recommend it to everyone who enjoys technical mountain riding. Dan's technical riding is absolutley pheonominal and his ability to relate this to you and teach you is just awesome. I have been riding sleds for 10 years or so but now have the skills to ride some of the most technical terrain out west. Avalanche awareness was a big part of the clinic as well. This wasnt a class where you go out and watch Dan ride his *** off and do ridiculous stunts (I have heard other professional rider clinics are like this). He pushes you to the limit of your capabilities, plus some more. My only advice is you better be in great physical condition if you go! If you are not, dont waste your time or money. You will not be dissapointed.

I've heard great things about riding with Dan, and having ridden with other "local" riders around here... my money would be on riding with him & getting pushed to learn something, rather than just trying to keep up.

Where's the pics of some crazy sidehilling, weaving in and out of the trees, some nose bleeding straight up climbs! Come on Brown, your holding out on us! You know with the meltdown, were all craving some ridiculous steep and deep stuff to hold us over to the thaws done. ;)

Brian; Thanks for coming out last weekend. I am an instructor at Next Level Clinics, although I am a transplant for the U.P. of Michigan. I moved out west to Jackson Hole in 2007. I learned how to ride in the back country of Michigan in 2004. I came out to Togwotee, WY in 2005,2006,2007, then I finally made the move to live where I want to ride. I struggled for years trying to learn all I could when I came out west, but there was just no way to learn the techniques on my own. Carter a local guide at Togwotee, helped me out from time to time on our guided trips. Mostly I just learned from watching. Most of my background before sleds was on a motocross bike, I never rode trails on a sled. After moving out west I met Dan Adams, rode with him for 4 years now. It has been a long rode for me to learn the techniques to properly navigate a sled into the mountainous terrain we live in. There are a lot of talented riders in the western states, Dan has just decided to help others learn the proper techniques in a closed course setting. I know it may not mean alot coming form an instructor, but if you want to learn and want to be challenged this is a great clinic. If you are a rider that frrequents the west, please take an avalanche course, and wear the gear, and practice how to use it. The terrain out west picks no favorites and is not forgiving. Good luck with the rest of the winter..

Hmmm

I took a tour of their web site and it looks like a three day course is $750. You can also get a package with lodging and food for $1,080 for the three day course. Might be something to try. I've learned most of what I know from Matt, Bob and Carter. Since it is often times difficult to get one on one time with guides (due to group sizes, riding differences, etc.) maybe this is worth some serious consideration. Riding Alpine might be fun as well.

Totally agree with everything Crabbs7 said. He is an extremely talented rider as well. Lets just say he helped me get unstuck just a few times!

Sorry Frosty- didnt get a lot of great extreme pics! Here are just a few more that I snapped off of some video
