NGK BPR9EIX Iridium plugs?

I don't have a Polaris but my thought would be what is causing the fouling problem and I wouldn't think it's a plug problem on any newer sled, unless you made changes to the sled. Just my thoughts.

I agree. I can't remember the last time I've fouled a plug, even when burning extra oil during break-in.

No experience with Polaris, but I used them in a couple Doos and never fouled one. First sled I used them in was a 2000 MXZ600. While I wouldn't say it had fouling problems, it would occasionally foul a plug after long stretches of slow-speed riding (with the wife, poor trails, etc.) Never fouled an Iridium after I put them in. Second sled was a 2005 600 SDI that I can remember only twice fouling a plug, under the same conditions. No fouling after I put Iridiums in it.

I don't know if that's enough to conclude that they seem to resist fouling, but they worked for me and I didn't mind paying extra for that. That being said, if you foul plugs regularly I'd have to agree that you need to look elsewhere other than plugs.

[QUOTE=russholio, "it would occasionally foul a plug after long stretches of slow-speed riding"

that's whats it's doing in Logging areas or thru towns.

Sounds like you have other issues. Your RPM at low speeds is probably over 3500. With that said you have more than enough flow that will keep plugs clean. Leaky injector or fuel leaking past needle and seat? Bad float? I dunno, just guessing. Check the color of your plug and go from there.

Can't answer that....the sled that fouled the "most" (and that was not very often) was a 2000 that I rode until 2004 when I bought my 2005 GSX. GSX was an SDI so no carbs. Rode that until 2012 and like I said that only fouled a plug twice in 10,000 miles, under the same circumstances. Now have a 4s so I really don't have a horse in this race.....just relating prior experience with Iridium plugs.

That being said....if Rozzy is fouling plugs in the short time it takes to go through most towns, it sounds to me like more than a plug issue. Key word being "most".
