First Blackhawks game is on in less than 30 minutes. Go Hawks!

I am glad they finally worked things out. Should make for a short playoff level season. Hope there are not to many injuries with a lot of these guys taking it easy over this long break.

hate to say it but im a longtime blackhawk fan, cancelled center ice and nhl live..will not go to any games nor spend 1 cent on any hockey related products..if these greedy bastages cant split 2 billion..the **** with them..ill wait till next year when there is a real season

The boys will be a little soar after today's game, no matter how hard they practiced. To bad it took so long for them to get their heads out!

I was hoping they'd cancel the whole season, and spare me the stress, late nights, and agony of the playoffs for just one year.
Oh yeah -- and the additional gray hairs.

I'm with Dan on this one. And if everyone stayed away from the games this short season, then maybe both sides would understand the 3rd part to the equation. Bunch of rich guys fight'n with a bunch of rich owners....netflx anyone! Let's all just forget about it and help Lenny build his monster powder machine so that when we get the big 8 inch dump some time this winter....he will be able to go out and play!

Been watching hockey for the past 2 months. The Blackhawks AAA team (AHL) is the Ice Hogs and are in Rockford. As soon as training camp opened for the NHL 5 guys from this team moved up. It's been a good season with a lot of NHL'ers playing in the AHL. Besides, you can get a ticket for $8 and parking is free. Nothing like what it takes to go to a NHL game now days.

Evidently someone forgot to tell the Wings that the season started last night. They are not gonna be pretty this year if someone doesn't take up some of the slack from Lidstrom's retirement.
