Oh, C'mon Pete! Go and get yourself an old Indy with the heat exchangers under the running boards and a big old windshield. Warm as toast!

Feet never get cold but need air flow thru hat to keep glasses clear burns up my face. Smear carmex on cheeks helps, with little hotties in gloves also helps keep fingers from freezing but -30 no fun & sooner or later that cold will penetrate & suck the heat out of ya. IDk maybe if you eat rotton seal blubber it helps keep core warm but does not appeal to me:)

Pete,
Rode Conover - ER - Phelps & home. I survived OK.

Been in survial mode before in -30 to Lando & back ..not again... lots of problems that day that added to frostbite....venturenorth & I learned better to wait it out for a better day. Temps will be above 0 today ...probably ride over to Conover & putz around been waiting for snow to start getting closer on radar.:)

ICGARA about what temps you ride or don't ride in as well as what days you do or don't ride. But coming on this board wasting server space with a thread about "why I get frostbite" and "you should be careful too" is well.....valuable to YOU I guess. It's about as necessary as a thread suggesting saying "you better add gas to your sleds when you go snowmobiling".

No grumpier than normal.....got a BIG ride planned for tomorrow with good friends and are really looking forward to it!

Again you a self appointed mod or something & telling members what they can & can not post? No interest in a thread stand down instead of being a drag on the board.....just pointless.

Rode one time near Mountain, WI., daytime high got to -15F. Got back to the cabin and took my jacket off, it was froze solid from my perspiration. Was able to stand it up on the floor for over an hour before it thawed out.

I'm being a drag? One of the funnier things you've said in your www career. I'm guilty of not "ignoring" your posts anymore.....they're humorous to read......I just can't help it!

Just remember whitedust.....you started this war of words.....not me.

Snowmobiling is recreation and is supposed to be fun. I will not ride if I have to smear anything on my face to do it.

You think higher of yourself than I thought. YOU are my FAVORITE JD subject? That's even better than before!!!! ROTFLMAO!

Knock myself out....harassing you? Jesus.....it's too easy. One just has to regularly read how you respond to posts....you read them how ever you want to read them.

And I'm riding my mouse? You really need to look in the mirror! Oh....and what you think I've been doing for the last hour plus? Enjoying the great outdoors! And tomorrow (and Sunday) while you are cowering in fear of riding those dangerous trails out there, some friends and I will be out there having so much fun that it should be illegal...and I'll be taking the point as usual. And then I'll go grooming for 6-8 hours.

Instead of posting here and on other boards, I'm sure Phelps or Lando could use your infinite experience as a groomerdriver!

Hope you had a safe ride!....I really do! :)

Ya who put the burrs in groomerdrivers panties this morning?? Why does he give a crap whats posted?? Must not be getting any because of all the time in the groomer or out in the cold riding sled......

Usually Johndee.com does not get this 'entertaining' until the snow has melted for the season. No snow in the Sierra Nevada or Cascade Mountains, so I think I will mow lawn this weekend. Thought I would be in snowmobile heaven moving to within driving distance of these ranges, what a disappointment.
