No fuel where to start?

Well riding this weekend on my 01 600 edge everything was great until it started stalling out on me. Going across the lake at 3/4 throttle or so it would just fall on its face and stall. Start back up after a few pulls and go another mile or so and do it again. This happened 3 or 4 times then it wouldnt fire back up. Poured a little gas into the cylinders and it fired right up for a couple seconds. So I guess my question is how can a test my fuel pump to or diagnose that its my pickup lines in the tank or its my pump. The carbs are clean and the motor is brand new this weekend. Im disgusted with my sled right now.

Check the pick up tube inside the tank. When I got below half tank it would ''run out of gas''. I fished around with clothes hanger and found pieces of the hose. Took tank off and got it all out. I have an 02 Edge.

You can also check the filter. As for testing the fuel pump, the internal diaphragms can go bad. You can pull the line from the tank at the fuel pump to see if you are getting fuel to the pump. Then, check to see if you are getting gas to the carbs (are your plugs getting wet after choking it)?

The fuel system is pretty straight forward, maybe you had water/freezing?

Just some thoughts.

1.) Fill tank up with gas, if problem goes away, broken pickup line

2.) Remove gas supply line that goes to the carbs off of fuel pump, pull over engine, you should all kinds of gas pumping out of the fuel pump, if not repair the fuel pump or make sure the vacuum line is hooked up

3.) If you have gas coming out of the fuel pump, clean the carbs

Thanks guys I ended up siphoning the gas tank to see that the pick up line broke right where it comes into the tank. Replaced and all is well .
