Well I posted this sometime ago and had some great suggestions. Let me tell you my story...

Yes I have a old sled 1999 500 xc I have done all my own maintence on the sled and so it is has held up very well.

This past year I did replace the track and the 4 bearings ( replaced these every 5k )

Now when starting from a stop I can accelerate fine. Throw snow but when running 40-50mph 55k-6krpm if I want to peg the trottle I have no power. It will take it's time getting up near 7k rpm then it will rap like normal.

Our first thought has been to the clutching. 2ndary. I replaced the buttons and spring and cleaned it up good.

Same thing this past weeked. I have a comprestion checker that I will see if it and engine leak of sorts but was hoping for any our ideas?

I will be pulling the carbs to clean and inspect again ( done at the begining of the year ) I saw a thread from another sledder that some fuel line hoses were rotting out just so.

Hey Thanks in advance !

Check the primary, for sticking or worn weights. Also, make sure the outer sheave slides smooth and freely on the shaft.

Well I wanted to report back about my sled. I did a compression check of the sled.. 115/80

:(

Looks like I have finally wore the sled out at 15619 miles !!

Gonna open her up and fix but believe it's time to upgrade.

How is the new Po Rush suspension?

That's a bummer man, but if mine makes it that long, I have another 5k to go! Its been a good sled, and the Kids love riding it, friends as well, always a good backup sled!

Let us know how the rebuild goes if you do.
