No Snow & What's a Guy to Do

Pretty much another Snowless Winter thus far for those of us south of the U.P. What's a guy to do?

Woke up Saturday morning and decided to take our Rescue Pup down to the lake for exercise. (hers, not mine)


While there, we decided to look over the Ice Boats at the landing.

A little background, Neenah Wisconsin is located on the western shore of Lake Winnebago. As the following photo indicates, there's very little snow and a lot of ice this year. With the exception of an Ice Ridge here and there you can go for miles and miles depending on the winds. I'm told some of these guys get up to 60 mph sitting just inches from the ice!

If it doesn't snow soon, one of those boats pictured is for sale. I'll just tell the Mrs. "It'll get me out of the house and it's good exercise"!

Went to Chippewa Falls last week to visit kid.

No yard work to do except could cut down a dead tree; Sounds too much like work.

I have a spare MerCruiser outdrive all disassembled, cleaned up & fresh paint. Needs new bearings/shimming & reassembled. All parts on hand but I'd need to heat up the shop & let everything expand & stabilize; But not motivated.

I'm taking in the races at the Wausau 525 track. There has been some pretty good races so far. The Champ 440 heats have put on a good show. Looking forward to the final.
