Dess does not need to be programed for spark. It will not allow the motor to run higher than an idle (no clutch engagement). I apologize but I do not have specs but I am fimiliar with these. This year has issues with the wiring harness. The harness tends to short out under the motor. I don't know if they affect one another but I have never made a harness repair with out replacing the the stator at the same time or shortly there after. The last one I did tested fine. You would start the sled up and it may run 5 minutes or 5 seconds and then loose spark. You could open the circuit (magneto side of the stator) and test right away and 1/2 of the time it would test fine. I have never replaced a CDI on a tripple. A few 670 twins but no tripples. I don't know what to tell you but make darn sure you have done the complete wiggle test on the stator before you buy anything else. Remeber that you are testing three component with in the stator (magneto side (spark), lighting side, and the trigger (tells when to spark)). Good Luck!!! I hate these problems.
