What is the normal engine temp range for a 2007 IQ600? When i run it hard it stays at about 125 to 135. What should the temp be when the sled is ran at a steady 30 mph cruise speed?

I can't speek for your sled, but I know that my M runs within the same range as yours as long as I am riding in conditions to keep snow going at the coolers.
As long you are getting proper cooling (plenty of snow in the tunnel), your thermostat should keep the engine at a constant temp. Thats what its for.

it is hard to read zrt. but use what you want.

as for engine temp, the temp guage is for the coolant i believe, not the exhaust, and every IQ i've seen runs normally, with enough snow, in the 120 to 130 range. lighter snow and it's 135 to 145. it's more about the flow of snow on the coolers than the speed. higher speeds will put more snow up on the coolers, loose snow conditions the same.

My 07 Dragon 700 runs anywhere from 108 (powder) to 150 (hard packed). I have always wondered also at what temp to worry about it being too hot.

Well, I can tell you i had temp issues with my 2006 Fusion. And I saw it run in the 190's and 200's several times.... always ran 160 to 175, unless I had the scratchers down. it's at about 220 that the knock sensor shuts her down..... The sled is smart these days. You'll know very quickly that it's too hot. Will only run on one cylinder. They put in thermostats that open in the 120's because that's where they (the Manufacturer) want the sled running. They use the knock sensor to protect the engine when it's too hot (in the 200's) between there, I'd think is a good running temp.....

Duh, no.
I have been using this color for years and your the first to say anything about it.

zrt4me,

I also think the lime green is a little hard on the eyes. It's kinda like wearing white socks with
black dress shoes and pants. Only the ones that love ya are going to tell ya!

The '07 600 CFI runs consistantly 122-125 in MN. The only variation I saw was when it was brand new in Idaho it ran consistantly 160 in lots of powder.
