My son are looking to head to the NS on Saturday morning to do a quick little ride to do a shakedown ride before we head to the UP in a couple of weeks. I usually trailer to the lot north of Two Harbors on 2 and ride from there. Is there enough snow and are the trails groomed from there? We plan on heading to Finland for lunch then up the Timber Wolf to the Knotted Pine and back to the truck. Anybody been up there in the last day or 2 to give real conditions. We may take a couple forest roads also.
We are willing to ride with a few others if interested. Usually leave the cities around 6 am and come back home Saturday evening.

Was up there over new years, stayed in finland. Moose walk and moose run had been groomed still sticks and twigs in trail not cut off from groomer, northshore groomed south of finland, timberwolf not touched yet, tomahawk was groomed from trestle to knotted pine, yukon untouched. I would call Wildhurst and talk to Leroy, awesome guy that will let you know the conditions as he grooms the timberwolf and area around his resort. Was good riding over new years, but cold.

I think we'll be up there. Two Harbors trail head, or Silver Bay municipal lot.

Ok, there were some updates from the local snowmobile clubs up there on Facebook yesterday and things are looking good. The Yukon has been groomed except for a couple of miles north of the shelter. The Timber Wolf has been groomed the entire way as well as the Tomahawk.
Steve, if I can get my sled running tonight we may see you up there Saturday. I will be on my Nytro and my kid on his orange and black 600 Assault. I have the same trailer but my truck is a maroon F250 Diesel now.
