I grew up in Cotton so we usually park there - my husband and BIL are leaving from Two Harbors and riding to Kab which is about a 270 mile run, but I don't think I can make that length two days in a row. Me and another snowmobiler are leaving from Cotton to Kab and then riding back the next day through Cotton (and I will continue on with my husband and BIL to Two Harbors).
I live south of the Twin Cities Metro currently but have people watching the trails. They could still be sloppy spring riding up there which can be hard on the sleds and your body. Definitely won't be the ideal conditions they had most recently but they are supposed to cool down for the weekend. I believe we're committed to go regardless but I someone is going to give me an update on Friday on trail conditions.
We have no problem meeting up with other riders interested in going, but my husband and BIL ride pretty hard. I am an experienced consistent rider and we usually cover the ground at a decent pace (not blistering) but consistent.
