hoping to head somewhere this weekend 3-15 to 3-18 and are open to suggestions. had a place booked in Bruce Crossing but looks like that wont be ridable. Currently looking at Crane lake MN area or Houghton MI area. Any idea if one will have enough snow and decent trails by then or which would be better?

Gonna put some miles on that Pro-R 800 or what? WHat oil you using in it? As for conditions if it hits 45 and sunny for a couple days I think shes gonna be a toss up either way...

hopefully, some long wide open stretches will break it in just right. it gets VES gold and usually throw 100:1 of junk oil in the gas when it is conveinient. probably doesn't do much but its the thought that counts. today it looks like houghton is probably the better bet with only wednesday above freezing before going up there. Saturday will probably be bad but it'll be the last day. you must be poopooforme? you go up there alot, right? where do you usually base out of?

”… had a place booked in Bruce Crossing …”
You booked a place in BC? How’d you do that? Sleeping in a shed behind the Co-op store?
There hasn’t been a place in BC in ages — since Tulppo’s closed! What am I missing?

there is a building that was fixed up for sled and sidexside riders. 6 beds and a big open area with bar and tv right across the street from one of the bars with a large parking lot. buddies of a guy I work with bought the place after staying there for a couple years and fixed it up a little. it's on VRBO. $100 a night

5 of us heading up Wednesday, staying at D's Basecamp. Did the same time frame last year and only could go south as far as Mass City and it was marginal, but north up 3 through Hancock wasn't bad and the farther north the better. Conditions look a little better this year and temps look cool enough for the groomers except maybe Saturday, will have to do a loop early in the morning and end up at the skeeter for afternoon drinks to celebrate last ride of this season.
