I was driving back from Marquette yesterday and started to notice the leaves starting to change.

Do you know water temp of lakes in Wi northwoods? Last I heard 60s but many cold nights since then.

No I don't. The making ice comment was tongue and cheek. Still quite a ways from actually making ice, but a chilly AM in the WI Northwoods.

Oh totally TC just wondering Northern Wi lake water temps grand kids arriving Friday & looks like a warming trend in upper 70s maybe even 80s. Been along time for those temps like mid July! :)

I do the water monitoring on our lake for the state and yesterday we had 72.6 degrees on the top and 63.1 on the bottom. It actually went up from 7-29-13 which was 70.3 on top.

I'm hoping 70s on our sand bar but out deeper probably not as warm.

We were on Lake Tomahawk last week camping and water was 65. Needless to say we didn't spend much time in the water. Sure it hasn't gotten any warmer. Lol

My buddy's lake in metro Detroit is also 72 degrees, usually low to mid 80s now.

This summer definitely has been cooler than most.

Yesterday morning, the coldest low I could find in MN was 30F. I saw a picture (on our local TV weather report) from someone who had scraped ice/frost off of some surface (couldn't tell if it was a car windshield or something else).
