I got a little over 3 inches here too last night, (NE PA.) and it some of the largest snow flakes I ever seen some had to have been 3-4 inches wide as they fell, , looked like white leaves a falling/floating to the ground!!~
real cool watching them fall like that, , made for a nice evening !

but its about all gone now, snow doesn;t seem to last long anymore ,
its always like here today, and then gone tomorrow ,!

While I haven't been to our cabin in Finland since last weekend a neighbor has reported he has 24" on the ground and it's still snowing like mad. Supposed to snow thru tomorrow morning. And while thats great, the trails that go through swampy areas and the creeks and swamps we like to play in may never freeze up now.

The latest report I read is 29" up near Hovland.
