Ventured out of the cabin yesterday (car) and hit a local watering hole. Presque Isle had light snow on/off all day that amounted to nothing. Trails looked snow covered and icy. 3 riders in the Retreat Bar that said they had rode down from Hurley. They said the trails were rough. Winchester, Manitowish Waters, Boulder Jct. trails looked about the same. Saw no further riders on my drive to casino in Lac Du Flambeau. Returned around 7pm. No sleds on trails or parked at bars. Sad start to presidents day weekend. Local news this morning said Mercer area reporting fair trail conditions. Everything else poor to very poor.

drove from minocqua up to ironwood and back this afternoon by car
every bar that was open had alot of sleds there
seen quite a few out riding too
tons of trailers headed north on 51
going to be a busy weekend
not me i will wait for some more snow
great weekend to ice fish
dont forget ur spikes its super slippery out there
