Omega Block

Hey John so how long is this Omega Block going to be around? In SE WI I am seeing highs around 90, dew points around 70 and light winds the next 2 weeks or so. Pretty hot even for SE WI for that long of a time. Hoping maybe the Middle of the month brings some cooler weather lol. Or at least a cold front for a few days

I don't know if I would go as far as to call it an omega block, but the ridging pattern is indicated to occur for the next 10 days at least.Beyond that, the forecast indicates it to continue, but is too far off to put a lot of faith into.

Yeah that is what i was afraid of, i keep looking at the 10 days and everyday here is 87-92 for as far as I can see. Very common to see those temps for 3-5 days here in SE WI but not multiple weeks.
