Our 3rd annual is coming soon to northern MN and the Orr area. Can someone that has been riding up there update me on the trail conditions?
Thanks so much.

Was in Cook area last weekend, went down to the Taconite, was poor due to warm weather and a Friday fund raiser ride. Talked to several groups who went to Crane lake and said conditions were much better north of Orr. Not enough snow to groom south of Cook. Have a good ride.

Actually the trails south of cook were pretty good the past couple of days (1/30 and 2/1) We had a few inches of snow and a bunch of wind. That combination filled in the low snow spots and the groomers did a great job cleaning up the bumps. With the cold this weekend sled traffic will be down and the trails should be nice all weekend.

Just got back from Crane Lake, the land trails we rode were in amazing shape, we never made it south of trails end or Mel Georges we stayed north this trip, the lakes were smooth by the stakes if you got away from the stakes on the bigger lakes it was hard drifts, there is still powder to be found in the bays though, it was cold so we stayed in the woods for the most part
