So we have them as our basic TV supplier at our place in Forest co. They were very reasonable for many years but the price was creeping up and then went digital and the price doubled.
We get up there and actually use it maybe 5-10 times per year but pay every month because we never have a set schedule to be make it worthwhile to "park it".
Since they went digital we have arrived to find that we had no service 2 out of 5 trips up.
I'm about fed up.

What do you ppl with northwoods homes do for inexpensive TV reception?....Or is that not possible? We are too far from GB, Wausau, Marquette to get there signal. We are aprox. 35 miles from Rhinelander so I guess that might be close enough for OTA reception.
Are there any other stations I should know about....ER?

Use Direct TV only NBC FROM Rhinelander others out of Wausau. Direct TV is very good up here but definitely NOT cheap but I have NFL ticket and HBO.

I am 41 miles from Rhinelander for the NBC affiliate, 11 miles from Sayner where they rebroadcast CBS & Fox from Wausau and 37 from Park Falls for PBS. With a rooftop antenna with a pre-amp I can get a total of 9 channels most days. The only affiliate I am missing is an ABC station, which is in Eagle River but too weak for me to pull in. Antennaweb.org will tell you just which stations you can pull in with antenna suggestions.

All the rest is internet streaming, but then you would need an internet connection or enough cell coverage to make a hotspot work for streaming.

We gave up tv except for the news and some of the better shows on public tv about 5 years ago. Now most news stations are so agenda driven that I can hardly watch them too. Once away from it for awhile you realize how stupid most of it is the few times I do watch something. I now watch videos on YouTube, it’s much better.
